Immersive environmental exhibition.

Our city centres were once filled with trees, green spaces, and nature - what if that never went away?
Re-Worlding reimagines the city through a green lens. Constructing a future utopia which centres community, wellbeing, and harmony with nature.
Inspired by themes of solar punk* and environmentalism, Jacob Carter and Hayley Salter collaborate to create an immersive environment. The exhibition allows visitors to explore the past, reflect on the present and consider possible futures of our urban and natural spaces. Combining photography, sound, sculpture and projection, visitors can escape into an unknown landscape and immerse their senses, allowing them to reconnect with the world around us.

Jacob Carter contrasts raw functional materials alongside technology, aiming to challenge the viewer's understanding of materials and question the functionality of his sculptures. Female-led film screening & performance.
mocking bird, digbeth
-
’In Birmingham, two friends barely scraping by turn to theft and believe they can ‘get away with murder’- until they have to. An example of a hedonistic treadmill of illegal pursuits. A grapple between relationships and selfish desire.
‘Dosed’ will comprise of a female heavy team both on and off the camera. When filling the roles in our team, we will be prioritising inclusivity and diversity, as well as supporting artists early in their career from the Midlands. An integral element of the team is that they will all be artists from Birmingham or the West Midlands.
The intention for the premiere of this film is to take it further than a screening- to be an experience for the audience. We want to bring the audience into the film as soon as they walk in the door, merging film and live performance in one space.
We believe that this film has the potential to have an expansive and universal appeal, particularly with women. We are confident about it having a life after its first premiere in Birmingham, so plan to submit to film festivals with particular focus on BAFTA qualifying festivals and Birmingham Film Festival to keep a prominence in the Midlands.

Debut EP launch & Music Video series
-
Isabel Abbott’s debut EP ‘Tales’ is sure to take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Love, break ups and makeups through the mind of a 20 year old are rocky, truly chaotic. However, feminist lyrics and sassy remarks turn a heartbreak story into the ‘Tale’ of a journey towards empowerment. Creating this whole record from scratch in her room during lockdown made this EP carry a deep rawness that will make you fall in love with her. Not only with her soulful vocals, but also the empowerment of her lyrics in both native languages, smoothly transitioning between each other.
-
Emerging artist from Spain Isabel Abbott is bringing her soulful vocals to stages all around the UK. Living and breathing music from a young age has created the perfect blend of richness and depth unique to Abbott's vocals. Equally enhanced by her piano playing, that has now become a staple of her live performances. Since the age of 14 Isabel has been writing, producing and singing her own material to deal with mental health, a topic that is widely discussed in her lyrics. Her self-produced debut EP coming later this year will introduce elements of Latin Pop and Modern RnB, sure to make you feel and relate to her music.
