JAY L’BOOTH 

 
 
 
 
 

A Melodic Rapper from Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Known for flowing on Trappy/Hip Hop sounds while creating her own kind of wave. Played on BBC WM & BBC Asian Network. Supported Akala and Roxxxan. Performed for Tim Westwood and Saskilla at special events. 

In 2017, Jay l’Booth was commissioned by Punch Records, Arts Connect and the Gallery 37 Foundation to develop brand and marketing for release Angels Take Flight.

Pharaohdraws is illustrator and journalist from Birmingham. Having three different creative outlets which all revolve around music. 

“Excluding my commercial photography work for companies and organisations, I specialist in music photography. I enjoy documenting the UK music scene. All my illustrations are of hip-hop/grime artists and the written articles are think pieces discussing hip-hop and grime music” – Pharaodraws

Specialising in music photography, Pharaohdraws also have experience in portrait product and fashion photography. Working with established companies such as  SBTV & GRM Daily alongside smaller local companies including Kings Barbers.

In 2017, Pharaohdraws was commissioned by Punch Records, Arts Connect and the Gallery 37 Foundation to launch his first major exhibition The Art of Hip Hop; a visual exploration of the lives, lifestyles and legacies of today’s most inspirational artists. Each of whom have overcome challenges on their own unique journeys taking them from DIY mixtapes to global stardom.

Tarik is a Brummie writer and performer who has featured at various Birmingham poetry events including Howl, Stirchley Speaks and Opus Club and national platforms such as Poetry Rivals and SBTV’s National Poetry Day celebration as part of #0121Radio.

Tarik has become known for his refreshing yet biting rhymes and the overall authenticity of his writing and performances. His writing comes from personal experiences, forming opinions on the world’s past, present and future.

In 2017, Tarik was commissioned by Punch Records, Arts Connect and the Gallery 37 Foundation to produce his first collection of poetry, ‘Do What You Can’, the release of which was celebrated in a curated poetry night at the MAC, Birmingham.

And during 2018 Tarik took part in Gallery 37 as a member of the Spoken Word Camp to produce performance pieces based on commonwealth.

 
 
I wasn’t comfortable with spoken word, it was out of comfort zone so I was nervous about performing, but by the end of the programme I was comfortable going on stage.
