Women's Safety in the Music Industry

Join us on Friday 8th March, for an exclusive workshop in honor of International Women's Day, hosted by Punch Records and delivered by Night Time Economy Solutions.

Historically, the Music Industry in the UK has been largely dominated by men, particularly in positions of power such as executives, recording producers, and promoters.

There is a growing recognition of the need for initiatives and programmes aimed at empowering women in the music industry, providing support, opportunities, and resources to help them thrive. That's why we're excited to announce our upcoming workshop focusing onWomen's Safety for Music and Recording Studios”. In an industry often dominated by men, women deserve to have the support and training that they deserve to navigate their careers confidently.

The Women's Safety for Music and Recording Studios workshop is designed for Women working in the nighttime economy to learn how to recognise, address and reduce the vulnerability they might face within the music industry. The focus is on the different types of vulnerability you will find within these industries - including vulnerability related to women’s safety, violence, drugs, alcohol, drink spiking, sexual assault, harassment and sexism. Attendees will be equipped with the tools to identify and support individuals who may become vulnerable, either in venues, on the streets, or in the studios.
